Artisanal ice cream and granitas since 1989

Since the beginning of the last century, a family of ice cream makers, the Lisciandro family, has lived in Messina. Antonio is the youngest member. So, in 1980, Antonio, from Sicily with love, arrived in Florence and opened Carabè, a temple of Sicilian ice cream whose motto is "quality without compromise."

Carabè has been a well-established and highly regarded Florence-based company specializing in artisanal gelato, granitas, and Sicilian cannoli for over thirty-five years. It was founded in 1989 by Antonio Lisciandro, a man of old, who decided to bring Sicily to the Tuscan capital, introducing the taste of authentic Sicilian granitas and quality gelato.


A few years later, Carabè expanded its capacity and vision with the creation of a large gelato production and training center in Terranuova Bracciolini. Parco Carabè was born, a place in the quiet hills of Valdarno, where you can savor and experience the quality of gelato, granitas, and cannoli.

Antonio Lisciandro's ice cream has become very famous.

He is called to major events, in Italy and abroad: at the Café de Paris in Monte Carlo for the Week of the Italian Language in the World, at the Meridienne Hotel with the Italian embassy.


Antonio himself states: «People used to uncorking bottles of Château Pétrus and going crazy over your ice creams… this is priceless, especially for someone who comes from the school of scented ice cream waters, like mint cream».
